The eHealth4Ageing realizes a novel design for an elderly Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, that is driven both by a social and a market gap in healthcare provision. Elderly care centres will benefit from a system that is specifically designed to match their needs and will grow along the National and European eHealth ecosystem. The latter is reinforced by the system’s technological merit which integrates the latest IHE interoperability standards, in response to EU policies and directives, and is aligned with Cyprus’s strategy for a National Health System. Availability of elderly patients’ EHR and associated statistical analysis tools will allow for informed clinical decision making that will optimize clinical care management and provision at the elderly care centres. At the same time, quality of care will be enhanced at the individual patient level, supported by the care adherence monitoring module. Materializing the above-listed objectives, eHealth4Ageing is expected to gain a competitive advantage that will be translated into a significant market share at the national level, being the stepping stone towards 3AHealth’s long-term goal of claiming an international group of clients via its eHealth products suite.
